The fable of the pencil for site

An ancient legend tells that when a person is born, his guardian angel gives him an especially long pencil, a personal one intended only for him, in which he can write the script of his life as he would like it to be. This pencil is infused with a personal code by which the owner can “activate” the magic pencil when the time comes.

A stranger holding a pencil that does not belong to him will be like someone holding a log, but whoever holds the pencil intended for him, will create a whole new world with the words he will write using this magical pencil.

Apart from activating the personal code that enables the pencil to write, the pencil owner will also need to:

a. Identify his desires, passions and essence, which he would write in a way that would be clear to his guardian angel (who wants nothing but the best for his “client”), so that he could do his best in helping him fulfill those desires.

b. Search for one or more sharpeners.

While a person’s desires and passions are part of him and within him (even though they change and evolve from time to time), the sharpener will have to be found along the way.

There are many sharpeners in the world whose diameter matches that of the magic pencil. Each sharpener has a different shape and body, and when found, a wonderful phenomenon occurs: each sharpener reveals another color of the magic pencil, and each color creates a new world, fuller and more abundant than its predecessor.

Upon encountering different sharpeners along the way, the person will be faced with the following dilemma: On the one hand, without the sharpener, he cannot write his desired life script, for his guardian angel who is waiting for “instructions”. On the other hand, each time the pencil is used, the tip becomes dull, and requires further sharpening, and with every sharpening the man will have to give up part of his pencil, that although very long, it is still finite and limited.

According to this legend, most people ended the journey of their lives without ever having their pencil being completely used.

11% did not use their pencil at all and borrowed desires and passions from others.

11% were afraid to use more than one sharpener, which kept them with the black color (the first graphite color of the pencil)

70% were not clear enough about what they wrote and were surprised when the guardian angel fulfilled requests that weren’t their own.

7% were somewhat satisfied, but claimed that some of the sharpeners were spoiled and “broke their precious tips”

Only 1% made full use and brought themselves fulfillment. By the way, all of them without any exception, just before they completed using their pencil, kept a little of its end, the one with the golden graphite, with which they wrote “Thank You”.

The magic pencil we were born with allows us to write the narrative of our lives, yet sharpening it is what makes the difference .
